Model MLN Sliding Vane Pumps, part of the Heavy Duty Line of sliding vane pumps, are ideal for handling thin to highly viscous fluids such as oils, asphalts, molasses and adhesives. These positive displacement rotary pumps are constructed with ductile iron, and are ideal for handling everything from thin non-lubricating solvents, to highly viscous liquids or abrasive slurries. The MLN features internal self-lubricating carbon sleeve bearings and PTFE-impregnated shaft packing. Options include Blackmer® or commercial single or double mechanical seals.

Blackmer fully Integrated Unit Assemblies are the pre-engineered and pre-designed drop-in pumping solution. These unit assemblies, include motor, gearbox, baseplate, coupling safety covers, and a MLN 4-inch Sliding Vane Pump. No alignment required with these pre-configured fully Integrated Unit Assemblies as they are ready for immediate drop-in installation.

Features and Benefits

  • Available with internal sleeve bearings with external stuffing box
  • Modular bearing hub assemblies allow these pumps to be easily reconfigured in the field
  • Optional wear hardened parts available for abrasive applications
  • Jacketed pump head option for high temperature operation
  • Ductile-iron construction with bolt on, internal relief valve
  • Symmetrical bearing support assures even loading and wear for long life
  • Optional commercial mechanical seals
  • External shaft stuffing box accommodates most standard aftermarket mechanical seal configurations
  • Adjustable relief valve protects pump against excessive pressures
  • Advantages of sliding vane technology:
    • Unique sliding-vane pump design self-adjusts for wear to maintain flow rates
    • Excellent self-priming and dry-run capabilities
    • Sliding vane design provides sustained performance and trouble-free operation
    • Easy maintenance: vanes can be easily replaced without removing the pump from the piping system
    • High suction lift and line-stripping capabilities
    • Low maintenance and low life-cycle costs
